We provide permanent marking solutions forindustrial component identification. We create programmable marking systems for direct identification on parts or nameplates. And we develop solutions to capture information byidentifying parts with a uniqueDatamatrix code. This 2D code code is then scanned and combined with other production information in a networked database. This enables us to build up a traceability history for each part.

Example of a realization

Optimizing personnel safety on a SEVESO site

  • Context

    On a SEVESO site, customers are subject to regular alarm tests; During these tests, all site personnel must gather in specific areas; The customer must be able to ensure that all staff have followed the procedure within the allotted time; This operation generally takes 1h30 to manage 3 assembly points;

  • Objective

    Reduce the time taken for these tests while making it more reliable to monitor your staff during the alarm;

  • Solution implemented

    Each assembly point is equipped with a badge reader and a badge with a unique identifier is allocated to each member of staff;

    When the alarm goes off, each person goes to the nearest assembly point and confirms their presence by presenting their badge in the badge reader;

    A computer application retrieves this data and compiles the following lists in real time on the monitoring screen:

    • list of people present at each assembly point with precise time of badge reading
    • list of missing
  • Earnings

    The monthly alarm test now only takes 15 minutes, which over 1 year represents a saving of more than 5.5 hours for each employee at the site;

  • Services/Supplies
    • Design and integration of badge reader boxes for each assembly point (several technologies are possible for these badges/badge readers: RFID, magnetic, barcode)
    • Personalised badges and badge accessories (this type of application can, of course, be grafted onto existing badges)
    • TCP/IP communication with the enclosures via a Windows application;
    • PC application developed in Vb.net + Oracle base, Windows service for real-time monitoring;
