The issues we deal with in the industry
Reliable production and workshop flows
Identify parts, sub-assemblies, OFs, batches and containers, automate readings, reduce re-entries and give your teams usable data in real time.
Reduce quality and conformity errors
Check presence, position, consistency and marking at the end of the line or during production, with vision and control solutions adapted to your production rates.
Securing stocks, shipments and sensitive areas
Control what’s coming in, what’s going out and what’s actually in transit: mass scanning, gates, palletization control, tracking of logistics movements, rapid inventories and traceability of controlled-access zones.
Track reusable assets, tools and containers
Locate your critical resources, reduce losses, improve availability and document movements across multiple zones or sites.
Connect the field to your information system
Useful traceability is more than just reading. It must produce a business event that can be used in your existing tools.
Meeting customer standards and requirements
Barcodes, DataMatrix, DPM, QR, RFID, DPP, printing conformity, marking protection: traceability must remain legible, durable and demonstrable.

How CIPAM structures your project
Audit and scoping
We start from the ground up:
flows, media, volumes, radio constraints, expected level of proof, reading zones,
quality criticality and data to be uploaded.
POC and validation
We validate feasibility in real-life conditions:
choice of tags, positioning of readers, zone settings, reading tests,
first KPIs and validation of operator ergonomics.
Deployment and integration
We connect field events to your tools:
ERP, MES, WMS, CMMS, dashboards, business workflows and alerts.
Training, support and scalability
We support your teams over the long term:
parameterization, ramp-up, maintenance, support, software upgrades and ongoing optimization.

Use cases

Mass reading & content detection system
- Context
Do your parcels need to contain an exact number of items? Would you like to check the contents of a parcel before it is dispatched? Do you need to read a large number of products and do mass reading? RFID tunnels and RFID gates can solve your problems and make your life easier. Working on the same principle, the RFID gantry allows whole pallets to pass through.
- Objectives
Read several products in a single pack; Without opening the boxes, with global monitoring of the product at every stage of its manufacture. With a speed controlled according to the product thanks to the conveyor.
- Solution implemented
Comprising a conveyor, RFID readers andRFID antennae, the RFID tunnel reads the
contents of a closed box using RFID technology.
Each product is identified by an RFID tag. The products are packaged in a single box. It passes through the RFID reading tunnel, which reads all the tags in the box without any handling. The software calculates the number of tags, and therefore objects, present in the box and can, depending on its settings :- Detect anomalies in relation to a pre-defined result.
- Simply display the quantity contained in the box
- List all references contained in the box
- Earnings
- Automated reading
- Complete traceability information
- Limits human intervention
- Prevents inventory errors
- Ultra-simplified integration into existing environments
- Service / Supply
- RFID tunnel with complete RFID system (readers/antennas) + conveyor +

Optional:
- Software development
- Adding a barcode scanner
- Tunnel adaptation to product dimensions and/or conveyor system
*Un SDK est un kit de développement logiciel ; It provides the basic commands for controlling
hardware. It integrates easily into all existing environments.
The SDK can then be developed into a complete software package. - RFID tunnel with complete RFID system (readers/antennas) + conveyor +

Access control system | Input/output management
- Context
On an industrial site, non-conforming products, whether incoming or outgoing, are collected in a clearly identified and marked storage area;
Non-conforming products are defined as all components, finished or semi-finished products that do not strictly comply either with the quality criteria sheets or with the customer’s specifications; Depending on the quality certification in force, delays in deadlines or documentary errors may also be considered as non-conformities and require corrective action to be documented;
Access to the storage area for non-conforming products is therefore a key factor in assessing whether quality procedures are being properly applied;
- Objectives
The manufacturer wanted to restrict access to the storage area for non-compliant products to a few specially-authorised forklift drivers, so as to be able to precisely monitor movements into and out of this area;
- Solution implemented
The storage area for non-conforming products is equipped with automatic access barriers controlled by a CPU card.
Authorized forklift operators receive a Thinline IR long-range active RFID tag, enabling them to be individually identified and granted specific access rights to the non-conformance area.
RFID reader antennas detect the presence of a badge from a distance of 15m, giving the barrier time to open before the forklift operator arrives in front of it.
- Earnings
Today, only authorised forklift drivers have access to the non-conformity zone, to bring in products or recover them, in line with our quality commitments;
What’s more, this operation is carried out without slowing down the work of the forklift drivers and with maximum reliability, since users don’t have to do anything new – everything is managed automatically;
- Services/Supplies
- Study and design of the solution
- Design and manufacture of made-to-measure antennas
- Supply of Thinline IR RFID tags from Ela Innovation;
- Integration of RFID reader boxes
- Integration of a CPU card to control the barrier;
- Supply of tag programming software;
- Training users to programme Tags
FAQ industrial traceability
Which technology to choose between RFID, barcode, vision and RTLS?
It all depends on your pace, environment, reading distance, expected level of proof and IS integration. CIPAM often combines several bricks in a single project.
Do you offer standard or customized solutions?
Both: turnkey solutions for recurring needs, and customized integration for specific requirements.
Should you start with the hardware or with the business need?
The project must start with the flow and the expected level of proof, not with a reader or a tag.
Can you connect to our ERP, MES or WMS?
Yes, our projects are designed to produce data that can be used in your existing environments via APIs, web services, middleware or dedicated interfaces.
Do you work exclusively with RFID?
No. RFID is a very strong component, but CIPAM also deploys vision, barcode reading, labeling, laser marking and business software solutions.
Should a POC be launched before deployment?
In the majority of industrial projects, a POC or pilot enables us to secure technical assumptions, read rates, ergonomics and ROI.
Can you help with operational maintenance?
Yes, we offer installation, maintenance, remote assistance, upgrades and support.
Do you operate exclusively in France?
No. CIPAM operates worldwide.
