Clear identification is essential for rapid and reliable classification of samples in laboratories. This is done by labeling the tubes or vials individually with adhesive labels. 1D or 2D codes enable fully automated processes during sample transport and archiving. With the AXON, labels are printed using thermal transfer or direct thermal. Printing resolutions of 300 or 600 dpi provide perfect definition with edges and high contrast. The smallest codes and fonts can be read safely. A labeling cycle takes less than two seconds. Tubes and vials, with or without caps, can be inserted manually or automatically using a handling system.
